Traditional Japanese houses have endured for centuries by allowing the wind to flow naturally through their spaces.

Sakufu is a fully renovated traditional Japanese farmhouse (kominka), reborn as a private vacation villa with its own sauna—a place where guests can experience the comfort and tranquility of authentic Japanese living.

Spend unhurried moments in the spacious interiors unique to traditional homes.
After warming your body in the sauna, relax on the engawa (traditional veranda) and let the gentle breeze, cherished by generations of Japanese people, cool and refresh you.

Sakufu offers a rare opportunity to reflect on the past, escape the noise of modern life, and enjoy moments of peaceful emptiness.

What is
SAKU-FU

Bringing the Timeless Spirit of Japan into the Present

We created Sakufu with a simple wish:
To share the beauty, comfort, and wisdom of traditional Japanese homes with those living life to the fullest today.

The name “Sakufu” comes from the Japanese word meaning “to trace back” or “to go back to one’s roots.”
It is not simply about admiring old things. It represents the strength to rediscover our origins, uncover their essence, and redefine them for modern life.

Built over 100 years ago, this house has been fully renovated while preserving its most beautiful original features.
We invite you to spend meaningful and relaxing time here with the people who matter most.
